RV Responsibilities

We may be parked near a lake in a driveway, but we still live in a motorhome!

Though we are showering indoors (mmmmm, water pressure), we are still mostly living in the RV, which means that we are running off of our water tanks.

We have power, but we do not have full hookups — how many houses have full RV hookups anyway?

This morning, we finally ran out of water, an event that transpired while trying to flush the toilet. Using buckets of water to flush isn’t my idea of a good time, so we decided it was time for a trip to the park.

Luckily, we live right next door, so we are close by when we need to dump and fill our tanks. It is $8 to dump.

We are still left with the task of having to pack up the RV to actually make it to the dump station.

Thankfully, it doesn’t take us too long to do this. The dogs thought we were headed on another adventure. Teddy took his place on my lap, and Piper apparently thought she was driving.

Everything went smoothly, and we were soon back in our spot, surrounded by trees. It took a little longer to level ourselves with the new board situation, but not long at all! We’re thinking we will probably need to visit the park to dump about once a week. Life in an RV is never boring!
