After getting back to Minnesota and settling into our new parking spot, we spent several days going through all of our stuff in the motorhome and what we had packed away in boxes at our parents’ houses.
Having now lived in our RV for three years, we’ve grown used to the small space and lack of stuff. It gave us a different perspective on what we want to keep for our future life.
I went through my 16 boxes of books that are in storage, saying hello to my old friends, and we gathered enough stuff from our own things and family to host a garage sale.
It’s a little weird to be back in our home state. We’ve certainly missed seeing our family and friends, and we look forward to getting some down time to spend with them.
Here are the few things we’ve realized since returning:
*The weather is either perfect or terrible, there doesn’t seem to be much of an in-between.
*The bugs are something out of a nightmare, and we found ourselves missing Ramona for this very reason.
*Minnesota drivers are pretty terrible.
*The people are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet — we continue to appreciate the friendly, casual conversations with strangers wherever we go.
And I must say, we’re getting pretty darn spoiled having breakfast and coffee by the lake each morning!

Very interesting. It is amazing what you learn to live without!
