It has been a while since I last had the chance to sit down and write. We have been pretty busy here in SoCal. Not a lot has changed but just keeping busy.

Last Sunday we went on a new hike near Julian called Stonewall Peak.

I have to say, I think this has been one of my favorite hikes so far. Though it was 4 miles roundtrip and we climbed nearly 1,000 feet, it didn’t really feel like it. There were a ton of switchbacks and it was a smooth hike.

We chose not to bring the dogs because we didn’t know what the trail would be like and it is a good thing we didn’t bring them as dogs were not allowed on the trail. I am not sure if it was just because there are mountain lions in the area or if there is another reason.

We have some friends flying into town today from Minnesota so this weekend will be busy, exciting, and fun! I am really excited to see them and explore the area together.

Also, we upgraded our bedroom wall hole covering to a piece of cardboard instead of a sheet. Classy, I know.
