We thought it might be fun for those of you who haven’t seen our RV yet to be able to take a virtual tour.  This way, you can get a little idea of how we manage two adults, two dogs, two cats, a bird, and a fish in 300 square feet.

This is our driving area.  We mainly use it for storage while we are parked.  We also mount Pica’s cage in the front window when we are not driving.  The blue chair reclines into a comfortable reading place and the driver’s chair swivels to allow for more seating space if we have company.

We toured a lot of RVs before buying the one we currently have.  It took us a while to figure out what sort of layout we wanted and what would work best for us.  Most RVs have hardly any counter space.  A lot of them have covers for the sink so that the sink can be used as a cutting space when the stove top is lifted up.  We luckily found an RV that had counter space even when the sink and stove were both being used!

The microwave is actually a microwave AND a convection oven.  We had no idea what that meant but we have found out that we can make almost anything we want as long as it fits in there!  We made homemade pizza last night and it turned out amazing!  The convection oven makes things crispy just like a regular one.  We are going to attempt pumpkin pie next!

While living in our RV over the summer, our refrigerator broke.  We were forced to buy a new one and have it installed.  It turned out looking nicer than the last one!  It is still very small and we have to buy fresh foods often (oh darn).

We are lucky to have a lot of cabinet space as well as a separate pantry for all of our food.  We have a decent amount of dry food storage considering the size of the rest of our home.

Our RV is filled with mirrors.  Everywhere.  Including a huge mirror in the living room.  I think the point is to help reflect light and make it brighter but it makes it awfully convenient to keep an eye on the puppy from the other room!

Our bathroom is pretty tiny but it does have a full glass shower.  The picture with the plants will look familiar!  We use it as a greenhouse because we found that the cats were eating all of the leaves off of our jalapeño plant.  We also have a cabinet in here with the cat litter box so it is all contained in one room!

Down our hallway that separates the living room/kitchen from the bedroom, we have a very large wardrobe that houses a good chunk of our clothing.

We have found that we do not need nearly as many clothes as we did in our former life and have taken some time to downsize a bit.

Our bedroom is very cozy.  There is also a lot of storage space in there and enough room for a dog bed and small cat tree.  We were able to fit our own mattress in here too so we are very comfortable!

Andy insisted that we mount a larger TV.  Originally there was one in the living room above the driver’s seat and a small one in the top cabinet in the bedroom.  We decided that it was uncomfortable to watch TV at such a weird angle in the living room so we removed both TVs and installed one on the wall of our bedroom.  Our movie collection is slowly growing as we pick up stuff at garage sales!

And that’s our home!  We are slowly learning what we need and don’t need, what we should’ve brought with and what we could’ve left at home.  It’s been fun so far and we are thrilled by how well all of us are adjusting to our new life on the road.
